Bruce travels to Washington D.C. to spend time with his cousin, Jennifer Walters. Their visit takes a dangerous turn when Doctor Doom launches an assault and kidnaps them both. With Jennifer in critical condition and in desperate need of a blood transfusion, Bruce is the only one who can help. After the procedure, Jennifer undergoes a transformation and emerges as She-Hulk.
