HELEN is uncooperative as the kids continue their quest for more pieces of the Synchronium. Meanwhile, UBRI has found another piece. With no place to go after leaving home, Jason and Brett persuade their mother to let Lena stay aboard ORCA. Lena meets Neri and Kal on their island, and after returning to ORCA, she learns from HELEN the location of another Synchronium piece. However, when they reach the spot Kal indicated, they find that UBRI has already claimed it. They quickly devise a plan to retrieve the two pieces UBRI has. Neri insists on joining the raid on UBRI headquarters, and although Jason is worried for her safety, he reluctantly agrees to let her come, only to leave with the others a day early to prevent her from joining.
