Stan Lee's Superhumans (2010)
S02E07 Spiderpower
Episode Overview
At high elevations, the lack of oxygen can lead to hypoxia, altitude sickness, and even death. However, Ang Rita Sherpa boasts that he has summited Everest ten times without supplemental oxygen. Daniel takes him to a premier Altitude Research facility to explore how high altitude affects the body in a hyperbaric chamber. Meanwhile, Randy Lewis claims he's figured out how to replicate spider silk—the strongest substance known—by genetically modifying goats to produce it in their milk. Stan wants Daniel to investigate whether this could pave the way for a real-life Spiderman. Additionally, Tori Allen is rumored to climb like Spiderman, but it turns out she grew up with monkeys and has learned their climbing techniques. Stan Lee originally created Rocket Racer, a super-powered adversary for Spiderman, and Bob Burnquist is said to execute skateboard jumps that bring Stan's comic book visions to life.
