Mr. Wilson deceives Dennis into accepting a silver coin inscribed with "GOOD LUCK" and a horseshoe in place of the 50 cents he owes for mowing the lawn. Mrs. Wilson, furious with her husband’s trickery, teams up with Alice to create a series of fortunate events for Dennis throughout the day. As luck seems to follow Dennis, Mr. Wilson begins to think the coin might actually be enchanted, regretting his decision to part with it. Ultimately, he uncovers the truth behind their elaborate ruse designed to teach him a valuable lesson.
