S09E14 People v. SecNav
Episode Overview
After a bombing raid results in civilian casualties, the International Criminal Court brings war crime charges against the United States, with the SecNav standing trial. Defending him are Harm, Mac, and Bud, who must also justify the U.S. decision to engage in the conflict. Ultimately, the court acquits the U.S. of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and intentionally targeting non-combatants, but finds it guilty of willful destruction of civilian property. The U.S. is ordered to pay $20 million in reparations to the town of Tikifa. Following the verdict, the prosecutor expresses his disagreement, but the SecNav reassures him that their nations have been allies for too long, and they head out for a drink together.
