Episode Overview

James attends to Paul Cotterell's dog, Theo, who has been losing weight and is diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. He suggests putting Theo to sleep, and Paul agrees, unaware of the emotional toll this decision will take on him. Meanwhile, James encounters Lord Hulton, a diligent farm owner who, despite his noble lineage, is deeply committed to his work. Hulton becomes fond of a horse that has strayed onto his land from a nearby military base. At Billings farm, James discovers young calves that are deteriorating, suspecting they’ve ingested something harmful, but the veterinarians are unable to pinpoint the issue.
