Episode Overview

With the threat of war looming, Helen prepares for the hardships to come while Tristan is given the duty of taping up the windows in case of air raids. Siegfried suggests that they save on food and heating by sharing meals, but Mrs. Hall takes his advice to an extreme. Meanwhile, James cares for Hamish, a sick dog in need of surgery, but Tristan, responsible for his recovery, unfortunately loses him. The vets sacrifice a fancy night out to help a stray dog that’s been injured. Additionally, Tristan is horrified by Siegfried's plans to set him up with Deirdre Headingley, the less-than-appealing daughter of one of his friends.
