Episode Overview

Tension brews in the Herriot family when 12-year-old Rosie declares her aspiration to become a vet, much to her father James's dismay. In an effort to dissuade her, he highlights the tough, messy, and risky aspects of veterinary work, while Helen believes he should support her dream. However, when Rosie attempts to care for her best friend's pony suffering from tetanus, she faces a daunting challenge. Meanwhile, Siegfried inadvertently loses Mrs. Pettinger's kitten, Prudence, who escapes from the clinic and ends up in Hull, causing chaos in Darrowby and amusement for Tristan.
