After being reported missing and presumed dead following a UFO encounter that left SID inoperative, astronaut Craig Collins unexpectedly reappears, alive and seemingly fine. However, as preparations begin to fix SID, Colonel Lake and Colonel Grey realize that Collins has changed significantly and is no longer the person they once knew.
