During his daughter’s wedding reception, Detective Belson is rocked by the murder of his former partner. With the deceased officer suspected of engaging in illegal activities, Lt. Quirk turns to Spenser for help. He wants Spenser to look into the circumstances surrounding the officer's death and determine whether Belson might be involved in any wrongdoing as well.
