Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (2004)
S04E03 Rococo
Episode Overview
In this episode, Gordon encounters a chef trapped in a nostalgic past while visiting Rococo, an upscale restaurant in the quaint market town of King's Lynn. Nick, a former Michelin-starred chef, has run the establishment for a year and a half, but his earlier success has faded. The outdated menu, stiff service, overpriced dishes, and an inflated ego are all that remain. With debts soaring to £100,000 and the risk of losing his home and family looming, Nick remains stuck in a 1990s fantasy. Gordon confronts him about his shortcomings, revamps the menu, and transforms the claustrophobic dining space. However, when Nick locks him out of the restaurant—an unprecedented move on Kitchen Nightmares—Gordon must grapple with the possibility of failure himself. Will Nick rise to the occasion and revive his former glory, or will he continue on his path to ruin?
