On October 14, 1964, Sam finds himself in the body of Jimmy LaMotta, a young man with intellectual disabilities, during a time when mainstreaming such individuals isn’t widely accepted. To prevent Jimmy's brother from sending him back to an institution, Sam needs to assist him in securing a job and earning the respect of his coworkers.
