On September 9, 1969, Sam finds himself leaping into the body of a young actor infatuated with an older woman who dreams of becoming a singer. As he navigates this new life, he realizes that if he can’t uplift her spirit and set her career on the right path, she will endure a "fate worse than death," which means moving back to Cleveland with her son.
