Episode Overview

Dr. Abbott’s elderly godfather, struggling with dementia and played by guest star Luke Askew, shockingly admits to a murder from three decades ago and implicates Abbott’s father as his partner in crime. Determined to uncover the truth and exonerate the two men, Abbott and Dr. Brown dive into the investigation. Meanwhile, Ephram finds it difficult to stop thinking about Amy (Emily VanCamp), which creates tension in his developing relationship with Laynie (Nora Zehetner). Additionally, Dr. Brown clashes with Ephram’s new piano instructor (guest star Ian Vogt) over what’s best for Ephram's future.
