Episode Overview

After being attacked by an assassin, Don Sebastian feigns a serious illness to manipulate the sympathy of his loved ones and seize control of the Cannon Ranch. While on his supposed deathbed, he coerces Manolito into promising to marry the strong-willed Anita Santiago, their neighbor, to unite their ranches. Victoria reluctantly agrees to her father's wishes, trying to convince John to transfer ownership of the Cannon Ranch to Manolito. However, Don Sebastian's scheme starts to unravel when Manolito discovers his father's deception, just as the assassin makes another attempt on Don Sebastian's life.
