Following the success of Star Wars, ILM relocates to a new facility, leaving some behind. As production kicks off for The Empire Strikes Back, the team encounters a series of unique obstacles. Dissatisfied with the existing resources, George Lucas establishes a new division aimed at innovating the filmmaking process. When Empire premieres, ILM embarks on external projects for the first time, paving the way for an extraordinary period of achievements.
