Episode Overview
Monica is taken by surprise when her mother, Joan, whom she hasn't seen in two decades, shows up unannounced. This unexpected reunion brings back all of Monica's old childhood insecurities. However, Joan has a hidden struggle: she’s dealing with Alzheimer’s and has a crucial request for Monica, though she can't remember what it is. Meanwhile, Stan admits to Yvonne that he has feelings for her, leading to an unexpected encounter in the stockroom, surrounded by shelves and frozen goods. While Yvonne has physical desires, she hesitates about taking things further, even though Stan is eager. As Paddy and Mimi go on vacation, Shane and Mickey decide to throw a party but quickly realize they have no money for drinks and drugs. They turn to Liam for help with a scheme to make cash, only to find themselves outsmarted.
