Deuk Pal and Se Kyung manage to rescue Yi Heon's mother from a kidnapping attempt, and fortunately, she comes out unharmed. Deuk Pal suspects he knows who orchestrated the attack and pledges to safeguard Yi Heon and his family without involving law enforcement. Meanwhile, Jae Min seeks out Deuk Pal to see if the police are after him, but Se Kyung steps in to challenge him about his connection to the kidnapping plot.
