Episode Overview

Title: Dick Strikes Out Plot: A new chancellor at Pendelton University ignites controversy by slashing funding and eliminating tenure. In response, Dick organizes a faculty meeting where he persuades everyone to resign collectively. However, the chancellor accepts the resignations, leaving all faculty members jobless except for Dick, who had pulled his resignation. Upon discovering Dick's betrayal, the faculty stages a protest outside his classroom, and Mary refuses to associate with him. Meanwhile, Tommy starts a job at a pretzel shop with his girlfriend Alissa but soon grows frustrated with her. He ends up giving away free pretzels to Sally and Harry, who capitalize on the situation by launching their own stand right outside the shop.
