Episode Overview

Title: Dick, Who's Coming to Dinner? Plot: Dick is perplexed when Nina refuses to let him join her at a meeting for the Black Student Union, mistakenly thinking it's akin to a Weight Watchers group. In his quest for clarity, he unwittingly takes the Solomons to a white supremacist rally. Realizing his error, Dick attempts to apologize to Nina by firing her, thinking it would liberate her from what he perceives as a subordinate position as his and Mary’s assistant. However, Nina reassures him that she enjoys her role. Meanwhile, Sally, Harry, and Tommy gear up for a poetry contest, choosing racism as their theme.
