Bernie and Wanda throw a barbecue for the Mac family, welcoming around 50 of Bernie's extended relatives to Los Angeles for the weekend. Initially thrilled at the prospect of reconnecting with family, Bernie’s enthusiasm quickly fades as Aunt Sis pressures him to co-host a cooking show on the Food Network, cousin Lou annoys him, and his older brother Carl critiques his parenting style with Wanda. As tensions rise, Bernie begins to regret his decision to host the reunion. Meanwhile, Vanessa and her distant cousin Shonte share playful flirtations until Bernie reveals their closer familial ties than they realized.
