Episode Overview
Cory's great aunt passes away, leaving him an inheritance with the stipulation that it be used for college. Victor agrees to hold onto the funds. At school, Cory, Meena, and Candy discover Newt’s surprising skill in hair braiding, inspiring Cory to start a braiding salon with his inheritance. He persuades Newt to join him, but they face a challenge when rival Mr. Michelle threatens to shut them down to reclaim the market. To settle the score, they organize a "braid-off" to determine who reigns supreme. Meanwhile, Sophie and Tanisha aspire to dress as their favorite star, Tiffany Starr, for Haley's birthday bash, but their parents refuse. They enlist Tanisha's sister to purchase the outfits, ready to make a splash at the party.
