Episode Overview

Lisa is appalled when she steps into their rundown and deserted farmhouse for the first time. Mr. Haney, the shady former owner, has stripped the place bare, even taking the bathroom fixtures, and attempts to sell them back to Oliver. They hire Eb, one of Haney's employees, as their farmhand. Eager to connect with the community, Lisa discovers that many locals are betting on how long the Douglases will last. Initially wanting to flee back to New York, a conversation with Kate Bradley inspires Lisa to embrace the challenges of farm life.
