Episode Overview

When Haney stumbles upon a Wish Book from 1898, he recounts the tale of Calvin and Tessie Whittaker, the former owners of the Douglases' home. After an accidental delivery of a magic lantern from the catalog company, Calvin establishes a Wall Picture Theater in Pixley, delighting audiences with a slide of Abraham Lincoln balancing on his head. His dreams lead him to Hollywood, but his innovative ideas are dismissed as crazy, especially his plan to feature a mouse named Dickey in films. Meanwhile, Tessie captures their attention and rises to fame as a silent film star.
