On the eve of Sylvia's 30th wedding anniversary, she organized a grand celebration at the prison, quickly adding Karen to the guest list. The rules were bent as the two Julies and Shell took on waitress duties for the event. They devised a scheme to smuggle in alcohol by concealing plastic bags in their tracksuit bottoms. Although Crystal was set to be released, a transport issue delayed her departure. Nikki offered a nurse £3,000 for help in escaping, and the nurse later appeared at Nikki's cell with a security pass and information about a nurse's uniform. With all the guards preoccupied at the party, Crystal waited in the office with Di, who offered her tea. Alone, Crystal's attention was drawn to a carriage clock that the staff had gifted Sylvia. Meanwhile, the girls spiked Sylvia's drink with 'speed,' leaving her in a euphoric state.
