Perfect Hair Forever (2004)
S01E06 Woke Up Drunk
Episode Overview
In a comedic take on 1950s variety shows and classic American sitcoms, Gerald and his friends make their way closer to Tuna Mountain amid a series of musical numbers and laugh tracks. One memorable moment features Felix the Bear grappling with a shark, possibly nodding to the book "Bear v Shark" by Chris Bachelder. Meanwhile, anxious television executives hold a meeting over the negative response to "Japanese Bear Dad," the bear that chased Space Ghost in the first episode. Their discussion is hilariously interrupted by a tipsy Space Ghost, who’s on the hunt for a new gig, a tongue-in-cheek reference to the now-defunct "Space Ghost Coast to Coast." The episode concludes with Gerald and his team continuing their trek toward Tuna Mountain, while three military policemen lie in bed, seemingly engaged in intimacy yet frozen in a rigid "attention" stance, lamenting that standards prevent them from moving. The closing theme features music by Diplo.
