Episode Overview

Fifteen-year-old Michael seeks permission to go to a basketball game, and Robert agrees without hesitation. However, when 14-year-old Zaria asks if she can attend a “gangsta” rap concert, Robert refuses. Later, Jerri points out that their parents disapproved of the music they used to enjoy and persuades Robert that he’s being overly cautious with Zaria. Ultimately, Robert changes his mind and grants her permission to go to the concert, but he and Derek decide to covertly trail her, dressing in what they believe is appropriate hip-hop style.
