The Avengers (1961)

Episode Overview

Keel saves a young woman from drowning in the Thames, leading him to the Radeck State Circus. There, he finds the trapeze artist, her face wrapped in bandages due to an injury. It turns out that she is the daughter of a scientist who defected, and her capture is part of a plan to coerce her father into returning. Upon realizing the truth, Keel and Carol are taken hostage by Zibbo the Clown, who threatens to shoot Carol unless the police investigation is halted.
