Maude organizes a fundraising event for a black militant leader, inviting affluent white liberals without revealing the true purpose of the gathering. In her efforts to bring in a black couple, she ultimately ends up with Florida in disguise. Meanwhile, Arthur complicates matters further by giving Maude tranquilizers, which she unwittingly combines with alcohol during the party, leading to a chaotic evening.
