Episode Overview

Pingu and his parents are having a peaceful dinner, but Pingu is unhappy and refuses to eat his unappetizing meal. To make the best of it, Father shares his fish with Mother, while she offers him some greens. When she tries to give Pingu a brown potato, he rejects it and ends up splattering it on her. This infuriates Father, who scolds him. In frustration, Pingu rocks his chair and accidentally knocks everything off the table, leading to his parents' anger and a spanking. Feeling unloved, he runs away. Meanwhile, his parents, though initially enjoying their quiet time, grow concerned about Pingu as the night wears on. Pingu, lost and frightened, narrowly escapes falling ice and encounters three terrifying monster faces in the snow. Seeking safety, he hides in an ice cave.
