Hardie brings a racehorse to Ken Hunter, a Wells Fargo employee, who plans to use it in the land race for the Oklahoma Strip to secure a Wells Fargo depot. When Hardie doesn’t hear back from him, he is tasked with tracking down both the missing man and the horse.
