Episode Overview

Seventeen-year-old Veronica Mars juggles the typical ups and downs of high school while secretly working as an apprentice private investigator, tackling the toughest cases in her affluent hometown, Neptune. When she intervenes to help new sophomore Wallace Fennel, who is found taped to the school's flagpole, Veronica draws the ire of Eli "Weevil" Navarro and his gang, the P.C.H. Biker Boyz. To protect herself and Wallace, she hatches a clever scheme to help some of Weevil's followers dodge legal trouble. At the same time, against her father Keith Mars's wishes, the former sheriff turned private eye, Veronica investigates a case of infidelity involving wealthy Jake Kane. This leads her to a shocking revelation about her mother, who had left both Veronica and Keith a year prior.
