Sixteen-year-old Petie has returned from military school and is spending time with the Stone family. Although he and Mary have been friends for a long time, he can’t help but notice how stunning she has become, stirring feelings in him that go beyond friendship. As Alex humorously observes, “Petie is experiencing a springtime awakening!” Now, Petie is determined to find a way to win Mary’s attention.
