Episode Overview
Jonathan Broom and his wife Deborah have paused their lives to chase his dream of creating a mini Hollywood Hills-style mansion in the tough landscape of north London. For a decade, Jonathan has been fixated on constructing his ideal home. They finally discover a piece of land in the area, but it comes with numerous challenges. To realize their ambitious £1 million vision, which includes a nanny flat and a swimming pool, they must dig half of it six meters underground. This endeavor tests the couple and their builder to the extreme. In a bid to maximize their budget, Jonathan makes every possible deal and even sells his business for additional funds. What was meant to be a year-long project turns into a lengthy struggle, draining their finances and impacting their lives.
