S01E07 Cotswolds: The Cleeve Hill Walk
Episode Overview
Julia journeys to the picturesque Cotswolds near Cheltenham to experience some of southern England's most breathtaking scenery. She begins her adventure in Winchcombe, often referred to as the ‘jewel in the Cotswold Crown,’ where she embarks on various walking paths leading her to an ancient burial mound, a historic castle, and the stunning vistas atop Cleeve Hill, Gloucestershire's highest point. After exploring the renowned Sudeley Castle, the last residence of one of Henry VIII’s wives, Julia climbs Belas Knap, an ancient Neolithic burial site. Following the Cotswold Way, she arrives at Cleeve Hill Common, where sheep and hikers coexist around a century-old golf course, all while enjoying sweeping views of the Severn Estuary and the distant Brecon Beacons—culminating in a rewarding six-mile trek.
