Seeking an escape from the burdens of being both a rebel and a Jedi, Ezra teams up with Chopper for a rescue mission after they intercept a distress signal. To their astonishment, they discover that the stranded ship belongs to none other than Hondo Ohnaka. In a twist, Hondo extends an invitation to Ezra, suggesting he join him on his adventures.
