Episode Overview

Rick Stein reunites with his longtime friend, actor and comedian Barry Humphries, who discovered his passion for Cornwall in the 1960s while escaping London to craft his iconic character, Dame Edna Everage—an endeavor that almost led to chaos. Barry reminisces about his friendship with beloved poet John Betjeman and invites Rick to taste his homemade fishcakes. Later, Rick ventures out to catch crabs, which he turns into a simple yet delightful crab omelette. He also takes a refreshing plunge into the chilly north Atlantic alongside an eccentric crew of wild swimmers known as the Perranporth Blue Tits.
