Comedy Playhouse, a British anthology series, delighted audiences from 1961 to 1975 with its collection of standalone sitcoms across 120 episodes. Several of these individual stories gained such popularity that they evolved into their own successful series, including iconic titles like Steptoe and Son, Till Death Us Do Part, All Gas and Gaiters, The Liver Birds, Are You Being Served?, and the legendary Last of the Summer Wine. The latter holds the distinction of being the longest-running sitcom worldwide, entertaining fans from January 1973 until August 2010.
