Alison Mundy is slowly healing from the harrowing séance that left her in a coma. As she reflects on her life devoted to aiding spirits, she spots one by the roadside and feels compelled to uncover the truth behind its presence. Soon, she finds herself caught up in a tale involving a car accident and a group of friends. However, this time, she faces the harsh reality that she may not be able to save everyone involved.
