Lilly decides to revisit the 1929 case of a woman discovered dead in a ravine on Christmas Day after the victim's great-granddaughter reaches out for assistance. At the same time, Lilly's mother, with whom she has a strained relationship, arrives unexpectedly, seeking a chance to mend their fractured bond.
