Episode Overview

Andrea convinces Brandon to run for class president, but Kelly takes charge of the campaign, urging him to leverage his good looks and charm. In return for his assistance in creating a campaign video, she agrees to go on a date with David. After a conversation with a smart and committed rival, Brandon realizes he may not be the right choice for the position. Meanwhile, Brenda, feeling overlooked by her loved ones, starts frequenting a coffeehouse. There, performance artist Sky persuades her to drop out of high school for a GED, promising her a chance to "experience life." Brenda moves out to watch over Sky's apartment, only to discover that the reality of being an artist is far from glamorous, with utilities cut off and furniture repossessed.
