Episode Overview
Brandon encounters Jack Canner, a homeless veteran he met at the beach club, digging through a dumpster behind the Peach Pit. He decides to invite Jack to join his family for Thanksgiving dinner, but tensions arise when Jim confronts him, accusing Jack of neglecting his family duties and hiding behind his military service. Brandon reveals that Jim's father was a Marine, and they had a falling out over Jim's refusal to serve in Vietnam. As Jack helps fix a leaky roof, Jim apologizes and encourages him to reconnect with his son. Meanwhile, Jack McKay visits Dylan for the holiday, insisting on spending time with his girlfriend while pressuring Dylan about his decision to drop out of school. Christine, Jack's girlfriend, persuades Dylan to give his father another chance. Later, Dylan surprises Brenda and Kelly with affectionate greetings upon returning to West Beverly.
