Episode Overview
Steve forms a friendship with a fellow detention student, bonding over their shared passion for cars. When Steve and Brandon make a fortune betting on Joe in a car race, Dylan raises concerns that it could be a setup. Undeterred, Steve and Brandon decide to support Joe in a risky race against drug dealer Frank Padilla. Brandon soon discovers that Padilla might be the same person who hit Andrea. As he contacts the police, Steve insists on racing Padilla, leading to a heated argument between them and a tense challenge of "chicken," which Dylan interrupts. Meanwhile, Andrea confirms that Padilla is the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. Brenda and Kelly set up a double-date with two guys from Princeton, only to find they’re actually nerds from a nearby school. Donna steps in to host David's radio show while he focuses on catching up on his studies to graduate early.
