Episode Overview
Duke warns Brandon that he needs to settle a $1500 debt by the week’s end. In an attempt to get the money, Brandon bets with a high school bookie and wins, but the bookie can’t pay up. Frustrated, Brandon confronts him aggressively. Sensing Brandon is in trouble, Nat pays Duke but makes Brandon promise to stop gambling for good. Meanwhile, Kelly worries that her bond with Dylan is fading and becomes fixated on her weight, resorting to diet pills. Dylan feels hurt when Andrea asks to interview him for the Blaze, but channels his emotions into writing about his father. Andrea supports his passion and persuades Gil to let him take AP English. On another front, David’s producer dismisses his hip-hop tracks, pushing him to record a bland ballad instead, leading to David being dropped from his label.
