Episode Overview

The Walsh family is set to enjoy their holiday in Hawaii, but their plans take a turn when mechanical issues force their flight to return to Los Angeles for an emergency landing. Meanwhile, Dylan is surprised by a visit from Suzanne Steele, his father's ex, and her 12-year-old daughter, Erica. After losing their home to a flood in Iowa, they opted for a road trip to escape. Suzanne drops the bombshell that Erica is Dylan's half-sister. Though skeptical, Dylan decides to keep an open mind. Kelly skips Mel's Christmas party, but he proves his support during her dental crisis. On Christmas Eve, David ends things with Donna after she declines to sleep with him.
