Episode Overview

Brandon, Steve, and Dick team up for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. However, Brandon grows worried about Dick's marijuana use. After getting high, Dick buys heroin at the After Dark, and Steve decides to join him. When Steve finds Dick collapsed in the bathroom, it’s too late; he has overdosed. In his grief and anger, Steve delivers a passionate anti-drug speech after someone leaves a bong at Dick's memorial. Meanwhile, a snobby magazine editor interviews Valerie, but the situation takes a turn when the police detain David and Valerie for questioning. David urges Donna to break up with Cliff, but her mother invites Cliff for a family brunch. Ultimately, Donna chooses to be with David and suggests Cliff accept a head of security role at Disneyworld. Kelly and Clare enjoy a weekend escape, pretending to be Ukrainian folk dancers.
