Episode Overview

Clare and Donna feel overlooked as Kelly spends all her time with Brandon. In her absence, Val joins the girls' gymnastics viewing party and ends up crashing in Kelly's room after they all drink too much to drive. While there, she snoops through Kelly's diary. Valerie stirs up trouble by telling Clare and Donna that Kelly spoke poorly of them. Meanwhile, Brandon is on a mission to find a magic wand from a puppet show performer Kelly adored as a child; she had once asked her dad to contact the man, but she doubts he ever did. Brandon, Steve, and David get arrested for auto theft after an upset auto show employee lets them take an electric car for a joyride. He eventually gifts Kelly the wand, and the performer even finds her father’s letter. Feeling snubbed, Valerie plots to drive a wedge between Kelly and her father by investing in his firm.
