Episode Overview

Steve accidentally hears Val on the phone talking about her pregnancy. She pleads with him to keep it a secret, but he spills the beans to Kelly. Kelly fully supports Valerie and offers to take her to the clinic, but Val insists that Kenny will accompany her instead. Later, while at a restaurant, Kelly encounters Kenny and starts to question Valerie's conflicting stories, leading her and Steve to doubt if Val is actually pregnant. Meanwhile, David inherits $250,000 and a classic 1961 Thunderbird from his grandfather. Mel wants David to put the money into a trust and threatens legal action but later relents, though both he and his mother worry about David’s drinking. Steve discovers that Clare and Dick are involved in crew, and he starts rowing with his fraternity brothers, ultimately challenging Dick's team to a race. Donna grows closer to Cliff, but during a hiking trip, he reveals he’s leaving for a job out of state. Meanwhile, Tracy feels uneasy and decides to resign from her TV
