Episode Overview

After discovering that the clinic might face funding cuts, Kelly approaches Brandon to help her write a story for publicity. However, their attempts to collaborate become too difficult, leading to tension. To raise funds, Kelly organizes an auction, where she models her wedding dress during the fashion show. Brandon ends up outbidding everyone for a date with her. After a beach walk, they mutually decide to end their relationship. Despite the fundraiser's success, the clinic still has to reduce staff, prompting Kelly to resign. Meanwhile, David thinks Valerie should move on from her father's death, but she insists on bringing her mother to confront the past. When Valerie tries to confess, she discovers that Abby was aware of the abuse before her husband died but took no action, hoping he would change. Valerie also bonds with Abby's fiancé, a former police officer.
