Blake's fate now hinges on a group of bankers who must decide whether to grant him a loan extension or demand immediate repayment. In the meantime, Alexis enlists Tracy to dig up private information about Averell Dawson, Blake's banker. Shortly after, Blake finds out that his loan extension has been rejected. Meanwhile, Jeff and Fallon are busy celebrating their engagement. Sammy Jo unexpectedly shows up at the mansion, claiming she's there to see her son. Mark confronts Alexis about her plans to ruin Blake, but she reminds him of the payment he received to remain silent. Unhappy with their arrangement, Mark insists that she submit to him sexually, prompting Alexis to kick him out of Denver. Moments later, a police officer arrives with shocking news: Mark Jennings has died after falling from Alexis' penthouse balcony.
